    Artistic Response

    Objective:

    to understand the elements of a play, to think critically about a play's set design, to use visual and critical analysis

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.7; CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.9-10.2

    Structure:

    As students have seen already in past activities, full productions of A View from the Bridge take place on stages with sets. Briefly explain to students that sets help create the world of a play, and remind them of the sets they saw in the productions from Day 2’s classroom activity (“Comparing Productions”).
