Larry finishes his class by completing the math behind the Uncertainty Principle and closes with this statement. A short silence before the bell rings and then everyone leaves as he tells the class that even though they can't know what's really going on, they are still responsible for it on the midterm - a great joke setup by the math.

Larry

Larry tells Arlen that he is not an evil man for seeing a show that is considered erotic. He wants to make it absolutely clear that he is a good man in order to keep his ability to get approved by the committee for tenure.

"I've tried to be a serious man, you know? Tried to do right, be a member of the community. Raise the...Danny, Sarah. They both go to school. Hebrew school. A good breakfast, well...Danny goes to Hebrew school Sarah doesn't have time. She mostly washes her hair. Apparently there are several steps involved, but you don't need to tell Marshak that. Just tell him I need help."

Larry is pleading with Rabbi Marshak's secretary so that the Rabbi will see him. Larry has seen the other Rabbis and needs to get more help because he's in desperate need. After this gushing out as an attempt to get in to see the Rabbi, Larry is denied the opportunity to see him.
