Jon Snow

The bastard son of Lord Eddard Stark and an unnamed woman. He is said to be the youngest Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. At this point in the saga, he is trying to make peace between the wildlings and the Baratheorn army, while holding the Wall against the Others.

Daenerys Targaryen

The last living Taragryen. She is also known as Khaleesi and Mother of Dragons as she has three dragons; however, she is having difficulty controlling them. She and her army conquered the Slaver's Bay and stopped slavery due to which a civil war has erupted in Meereen, of where she is the queen.

Bran Stark

Bran is the second youngest children of the Starks. He has an ability to forsee events and is a Warg, i.e. he can control animals and men by getting inside their minds. He is believed to be dead, but he along wiht some friends has escaped to the North.

Tyrion Lannister

Tyrion is the youngest son of Tywin Lannister, whom he murdered. He is a dwarf and becomes the butt of many jokes. He has sharp wit and likes to drink a lot.

Davos Seaworth

Davos used to be a pirate before Stanni Baratheon made him a knight for keeping him and his army for starvation during a seige. He is extrmemly loyal to Stannis.

Lady Melisandre

Melisandre of Asshai, also known as Red Woman, is a priestess who can see in future and make predictions. She also has powers to know things about people and change their appearances. She sacrifices men by burning them alive to appease her god, Vallhor.

Stannis Baratheon

Stannis is the last Barathoen brother and believes himself to be the rightful claimant of the throne. He attacks the wildlings after Melisandre advises him to. He is gruff and follows rules rigidly.

Selyse Baratheon

She is the wife of Stannis Baratheon. Selyse is said to be a mousy woman and follows her husband and Melisandre blindly.
