A Court of Mist and Fury Background

A Court of Mist and Fury (2016) is the sequel to author Sarah J. Maas' 2015 novel A Court of Thorns and Roses. A Court of Mist and Fury's story picks up where the previous novel left off. Once again, the novel follows Feyre, a human huntress who had to go through terrible trials in order to save her beloved Tamlin. That experience has left Feyre scarred. She is no longer the same person she once was, but Tamlin still loves her more than anything. As the two await their marriage, they are forced to confront yet another threat: politics and herself. At its core, this is a novel about romance and a novel about the things a person will give up and change to be with the person they love.

Reviews for A Court of Mist and Fury were almost universally positive. As with A Court of Thorns and Roses, A Court of Mist and Fury was also a #1 New York Times bestseller and earned exceptionally positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. That explains streaming giant Hulu's decision to turn Maas' novels in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series into a television series, which will cover at least the series' first five novels. No release date has been set.
