Discussion: Representations of Greeks

Objective:

To get students to think critically about how particular groups of people are portrayed in different sources.

Common Core Standards:

Structure:

The teacher should start by picking up where he/she left off in the last class: what thoughts or images first come to mind when students hear the word "Greece"? After some of the students recall their responses, the teacher should have the class watch the three following videos, stopping in-between each to take 5 minutes or so to discuss:
