What is the significance of Ann discovering the holes in Mr. Loomis’ suit?
It confirms that he has the potential to be dangerous. If he killed Edward, it isn’t a huge leap to think that he could easily kill Ann too, especially if she does not submit to what he wants. He’s already shown himself to have a bad temper and to be a bit pushy and condescending, which makes the discovery that Mr. Loomis killed Edward even more worrisome.
