Andrea in ‘Janus’
In this short story, Andrea is a highly ambitious real estate agent. Despite being a level-headed person, she ends up becoming obsessed with a bowl that is displayed in one of the houses she is showing. She uses the bowl to convince people to buy the house. She is also embarking on an affair despite being married, and he is the one who bought her the bowl.
Narrator in ‘Snow’
The unnamed woman is the main protagonist of the story. She reflects the woman’s memories with an old lover and the trip they took to a country cottage. She later revisits the cottage when she is older and married and notes that she only remembered the snow of that winter they shared.
