    What are the first two mysterious messages left on Phoebe's porch? What do they mean?

    The first message Phoebe finds on her porch in a white envelope is: "Don't judge a man until you've walked two moons in his moccasins." The second message says: "Everybody has his own agenda." Students should explain in their own words the meaning of the statements. For the first message, students may have heard a similar idiom: Don't judge someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes. This means that until you've been in the same position as someone else, you shouldn't judge them as you don't actually understand their unique situation or the difficulties they may be facing....
