Objective:

Students will prepare a new report from the perspective of the Utopians.

Structure:

In small groups, students will imagine what sort of news a paper in Utopia might report and then prepare a news report as though it were a Utopian publication. Since the vast majority of Utopia is explanatory, rather than narrative, groups are free to come up with their own events to report—for instance, a summary of the most recent meeting of magistrates, a report on crop yields for a given season, small local pieces of interest, and so on.
