Would you like to be immortal? Why or why not?
This question will also be asked at the end of the book. Take a poll of students to see how many would like to be immortal and how many would not. Does the class skew one way or another? Ask students to explain why they want to or don't want to be immortal. What are the benefits of being immortal? Would students do dangerous things if they couldn't die or be seriously injured?
