Existence
A life that exists completely on the unconscious level is like a life never lived. Art plays a significant role in bringing life to a conscious level of existence. Art entrances an idea, turning that idea into an unfamiliar form that the audience can, therefore, experience and understand it. Experiencing the creative process of the artist is key, as he/she brings the expression into existence. By studying the presented artifact, can the audience get insight into its creation, bringing new life into existence.
Narrative Prose in Fiction
Inspired by the works of Dickens and Doyle, Shklovsky explores possible plot devices that could expand the subplots and character development and discovers unexplored styles of fiction. He studies different techniques to drive the fictional narrative. Most writers detest imitating reality, opting for fiction which elevates their imagination and the unlimited perks of narrative flexibility.
The Purpose of Art
Man has the tool of artistry at his disposal, to utilize it by finding and giving meaning to life. Art’s purpose is to take us through the experience of expression through sight. By making the known unknown, art evokes a perception of an intensive creative expression. Art is not a mirrored version of something else, but an origin of something new that gets birthed out of influence.
