On Day 1, students will use the Internet to research L. Frank Baum and Kansas.
On Day 2, students will utilize social media (specifically Twitter) to explore the point of view of a character whose perspective was extremely limited in the novel. They will also use Tumblr to share posts demonstrating media inspired by The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
On Days 4 and 5, students will create their own text-based game as a reaction to the Oz narrative, and will interact with each other's stories.
On Day 4, students will watch a film adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
On Day 5, some students may use mapping or other design software to create a visual and/or multimedia map of Oz.
