A rabbit losing its clothes - The Tale of Peter Rabbit

In the story, Peter Rabbit gets stuck in the garden of a malicious man. Unable to find the gate, he is forced to run around and hide and loses most of his clothing in the process, often quite spectacularly. Yet rabbits generally do not wear clothes.

A cat gets attacked by a bunny - The Tale of Benjamin Bunny

Benjamin Bunny Senior is strolling through a garden, on the lookout for his son who has been missing for hours. Seeing a cat, Benjamin decides to attack it, purely out of his low opinion of cats. Ironically, he doesn't yet know that the cat's choice of a nap location had trapped his son underneath a basket. Instead of harming the small and vulnerable other animal, the cat gets scared and flees.

A cat is afraid that rats have eaten her young - The Roly-Poly Pudding

Tabitha Twitchit, a cat, is desperately looking for one of her kittens. When a neighbor comes over, Tabitha reveals that she is convinced that rats have caught and eaten her young. Ironically, it is usually cats catching and eating rats, not the other way around.

Owner afraid of waking up trespasser in his house - The Tale of Mr. Tod

The badger Tommy Brock is known for sneaking into one of the houses of infamous Mr. Tod when he is staying someplace else, and freely uses Mr. Tod's possessions. One morning, Mr. Tod returns unexpectedly while Brock is still asleep. Instead of rightfully throwing the trespasser out, Mr. Tod fearfully tiptoes around him for hours, too afraid to wake him, when it should be the other way around with the trespasser trying to sneak around unnoticed.

Mice shopping for groceries at a store run by a cat - The Tale of Ginger & Pickles

A cat called Ginger runs a local farm shop that is frequented by a large number of mice, who all buy their groceries there, even though they are terrified of Ginger. It is ironic that the mice not only frequently shop at this store, but that the cat is therefore the main provider of food for the mice, even though mice are generally considered food by cats.
