Maybe part of falling in love with someone else is also falling in love with yourself.
The given line is spoken by Daniel. He is a romantic in contrast to a practical Natasha. These words mean that falling in love with someone also means that how we are in their presence. When we love someone, we are a little more ourselves in their presence. We fall a little more in love with ourselves when we are around someone we love.
“Stars are important," I say, laughing.
"Sure, but why not more poems about the sun? The sun is also a star, and it's our most important one. That alone should be worth a poem or two.”
This is a dialogue between Daniel and Natasha. When Daniel tells Natasha about his poems, she asks why poets are obsessed with writing about the stars. To which Daniel says that stars are important. Natasha says that Sun is also a star and it too deserves some poems to be written on it. Daniel promises her to write poems on Sun.
"It’s hard trying to hold on to a place that doesn’t want you.”
When Natasha tries to move, her face brushes against Daniel's neck and she, instead of going away, rests her head on Daniel's shoulder. She says that it is hard to try to hold on to a place that doesn't want you. You are constantly forced to move on, but since Daniel did want her, it was easy for her to stay.
