Group Work

Objective:

Students will seek out defining moments in a character from the novel

Structure:

Divide students into about four groups. Each group will pick a character from this list:

1. Bill
2. Cohn
3. Brett
4. Frances

Have students review what they have read in the novel so far, seeking out chapters and passages that best exemplify their chosen character. Each group should have a list of the traits that define their character and should be able to cite their claims with quotations pulled from the text.
