In the Day 1 Activity, “Recalling Memories,” students will use smartphones or other devices to record an audio interview with a partner in which the partner recalls a memory from childhood. Editing software will then be used to splice together the student’s responses to the interviewers questions and create a fluid narrative out of the story.
In the Day 2, 3, and 4 activities, “Discovering Manitoba and its racial and economic history,” students will use computers to research and explore the historical factors at play in The Stone Angel. Students will ultimately synthesize their findings in a multimedia presentation on Day 4.
