The paradox of Couladin
Couladin is a satirical character who is angry for power. According to Couladin, he is prophesized, and he wants to fight Rand to claim his reign. Ironically, Couladin cannot prove his power like Rand, who uses the Collandor Sword to summon the rainstorms as a symbol of authority.
The irony of the marriage between Perrin and Faile
The primary goals of marriage are companionship and procreation. Ironically, the marriage between Perrin and Faile is for convenience. For instance, Perrin marries Faile to acquire more soldiers from Queen Morgase to defeat Trellocs.
The satire of the gifts
Eeflinn is a strategic character who asks Mat for gifts such as the Ashandarei medallion. Ironically, Mat does not know the consequences of giving such gifts. In the long run, Eelfinn uses the medallion to get the ability to speak the ancestor’s language, which aids him in fighting for his objectives.
The irony of leadership
Leadership is a call to serve the community but not an avenue to fight for self-interests. Ironically, Couladin and others are fighting the legitimate leaders to rise to power. For instance, the power centre is the White Tower, but several characters are fighting behind the scenes to bring it down.
