Stream of Consciousness

Individual Writing

Objective:

Students will understand stream-of-consciousness writing style and apply their knowledge to write their own stream-of-consciousness pieces.

Structure:

To begin this activity, introduce the class to the stream-of-consciousness style of writing using the article: "What is Stream of Consciousness?" and the article,"Stream of Consciousness: What Is It & How To Use."

Have students read the articles individually and then proceed into a class discussion about the article, discussing and listing...
