    Design Vision Boards

    Kind of Activity:

    Artistic Response

    Objective:

    Students will be able to consider the multiple ways of knowing involved in theatrical production

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.11-12.7; CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.11-12.2

    Structure:

    Ask students to share the images from productions that they found for homework last night—do these characters and sets look as they pictured them? If not, what are the differences? What do they think led the designers to make these choices? Does one image "feel" more like their image of Naples, or of Florinda, or of Angelica's house, than another? Why—what details contribute to that?

    Divide students into small groups....
