The Rector of Justin Irony

The irony of the school board

Prescott has been the school head at the boys' boarding school he established for several years. Prescott has a mission and vision to achieve in his school. According to Prescott, he intends to retire at wish. Ironically, the school board forces Prescott to retire. Since he leaves his position unwillingly, Prescott sabotages the new school head.

The irony of Prescott

Prescott is a father of three girls. Ironically, Prescott is not interested in empowering girls because he establishes a boys' boarding school. Readers expect Prescott to open a girls' school to symbolize love for his daughters, but he does the contrary. Ultimately, Prescott's daughters treat him with hatred because he has failed them.

The irony of Cordelia

The reader does not expect Cordelia to expose her father's sexuality without proof. Since the relationship between Cordelia and her father is at loggerheads, she decides to expose him as gay. According to Cordelia, her father loves Charley, his former student. Cordelia is dating Charley, and she realizes he is a close friend of her father. It is ironic for Cordelia to say that her father is gay because he associates with males more than females.
