The Path of Daggers Symbols, Allegory and Motifs

The White Tower

The White Tower is used as a symbol of authority and power. The supremacy wars witnessed throughout the series are about the control of the White Tower. Among the leaders fighting the Black Ajah is Elaide and Rand. Therefore, the White Tower is the point of interest among the powerful characters who want to have absolute control of the territories and all troops.

The Shadow

The shadow is symbolized by the re-embodiment of Ishmael, who conspires against Rand. When Moridin learns that Elayne has the Bowl of the Winds, he plans to murder Elaine and her close colleagues who helped her seize the Bowl of the Winds, which was initially under the control of the Dark One.

The symbolism of valor

Rand is a symbol that represents courage. After learning that the Black Tower has more than 400 participants, he does not get scared because he understands his capability. Assassins are after Rand because he intervenes in seizing Saidin and Asha'man, but he pushes on.
