The guitar
Fausto falls in love with a guitar, and he yearns to own one. When Fausto approaches his parents to purchase one for him, they discourage him from being too expensive and encouraging him to concentrate on other things in life. Satirically, his parents' discouragement makes Fausto to be determined more about his guitar, and he promises himself to work extraordinarily hard to purchase it by himself.
The irony of the dog with address
Fausto has mown lawns for a while, but he cannot raise the needed amount to buy a guitar. As he wonders what to do next, a dog appears with an address which is a satirical miracle. Fausto comes up with the false story and takes the dog back to its home, where he is given $20 as a reward. Instead of buying the guitar, Fausto feels guilty for lying and takes that money to the church.
The irony of the church
Does the church accept offerings that are proceeds of falsehood? The reader wonders why Fausto is taking his reward to the church intentionally to cover up his sin. Churches are holy places of worship, and they should encourage their members to earn genuinely before giving offerings. However, Fausto is doing the contrary because he thinks that God accepts corrupt money.
The irony of regrets
At first, Fausto thinks that the best way to get the money he needs to buy a guitar is to work hard. Unfortunately, Fausto's hard work does not pay, and he decides to take advantage of the do to milk its owner. After being given the $20 note, he realizes that he cheated and decides to hand it over to the church. Ironically, Fausto starts regretting later forgiving the $20 bill to church!
The surprise of the old guitar
Fausto's determination to own his guitar is undying, and he does everything to acquire one. Unfortunately, Fausto's efforts do not bear fruits. Satirically, upon returning home, his parents surprise him with an old guitar that was found in the garage. Despite Fausto's urge to get a new guitar, he has no option but to accept the available gift and appreciate his parents' efforts.
