Book-to-Movie Video Comparisons

Objective:
Students will convey their knowledge of the book by creating an insightful and entertaining video comparing the book to the movie.
Structure:
After they've finished reading the book, students will watch the 2009 film adaptation of The Lovely Bones. Instruct them to take careful notes while watching the movie, jotting down important differences from the book. After they've watched it, as a class, discuss some of their overall opinions of the movie, things like major plot differences, shifts in themes, if they preferred the book over the movie (or vice versa), and what they didn't like about it.
