Students will create an artistic representation of the events surrounding the novel

Structure:

In this activity, students will create their own political poster about the people or events in The Longest Memory.

Political Poster Examples (15 minutes)

To start, ask the students what political posters, if any, they have seen. As the students respond, search for the poster they are mentioning and project it on the board for the other students to see.

Some examples may include: Rose the Riveter, Uncle Sam Wants You, We the People (from 2016 elections)....
