    Crazy Mirrors Activity

    Group Work

    Objective:

    Students will be able to do a close reading and analysis of the meaning of “crazy mirrors.”

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.11-12.2, CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.11-12.6

    Structure:

    In this activity, students will analyze the end of the story “Amusements.” Split the class into small groups of three or four. Then, instruct students to read the end of “Amusements” from the sentence, “I backpedaled, turned and ran, and could hear the guard behind me as I ran down the midway” through to the end of the story. After they read the section, they should work together to answer the following questions.
