The Letter (Evans) Irony

The death of Andrea

The Parkin family lost their three-old-year daughter, Andrea, and the grief was expected to unite the family. Parkin and Maryanne started pulling apart instead of sticking together to console each other. Maryanne decides to live with her parents. Parkin is left alone, and depression almost kills him. Therefore, the death of Andrea brings more grief to her parents, and neither of them can bear the loss.

Rosalyn King’s mystery

Rosalyn King is David's mother, and she decides to abandon her family in search of fame. Traditionally, a mother is expected to be close to her family and provide direction and love. Ironically, Rosalyn does the opposite: She abandons young David and relocates to Chicago to look for fame. Later, when David visits his daughter's grave, he finds a letter from his mother, and he sets upon a journey to look for her in Chicago.

The irony of death

Death is cruel, and David learns this reality when he discovers that his mother died several years ago. After the death of his daughter, David sets out on a journey to Chicago to look for his mother. Unfortunately, he discovers that his mother is dead. After returning home, David's close friend, Lawrence, dies. Later, people come to exhume Lawrence's body, but David confronts them. Unfortunately, the attackers knock David down and leave him dead.
