How does the narration change between Part One and Part Two? To what effect?
The first section of the book is narrated by Liang; the second by Jung; and the third by Sekky. As such, the narration is different in each section of the novel. The narration in Part One focuses on Jiang's friendship with Wong-Suk. It follows a fairly linear timeline of their friendship over the course of three years and includes her now-adult retrospection.
