Character Analysis
Kind of Activity:
Collaborative Writing
Objective:
Students will be able to analyze the characters and how they fit together to fuel the plot.
Common Core Standards:
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.11-12.2, CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.11-12.3
Structure:
To begin the activity, ask students what role characters play in a story. Why are characters sometimes necessary? Students may say that they move the plot forward, they give the reader something to attach to, or they bring stories to life.
