Elaida is aware that her rule is under threat, and she sets out to silence rebels but is unsuccessful. The White Tower is attacked by Seanchan forces which kicks Elaida out of action, and Egwene becomes Amyrlin.

    The White Tower is significant in the text because it symbolizes power. The Tower is at the centre of authority which is under the sitting Amyrlin. For instance, Elaide is the Amyrlin controlling the WhiteTower before dethroning.
