The Dim Sum of All Things is a fictional novel published in 2004 and written by Kim Wong Keltner. The book follows the path of Lindsey Owyang, a poorer woman of Chinese descent, living in America and working a regular job. Lindsey tries to fit in with those around her, but is ashamed of embarrassed of her family and origin. Eventually, Lindsey is persuaded to take a trip to China with her grandmother, but she is weary of the journey. However, after she comes back to America, she has a newly found proudness for her diversity and no longer is embarrassed of her Chinese origins.

Kim Wong Keltner is a fictional and non-fictional author of Chinese descent. While she has published four books, The Dim Sum of All Things is perhaps her most well known, ranking among the top five on the San Francisco best-seller list upon its release. Keltner's writing is known for its incorporated humor, seen in this book as well as her others.
