Founder
Bailey and Stenton create a way for someone to have his or her life viewed 24/7 on social media. Ironically, they aren't the first ones to try the technology. Instead, they have a lower level employee, Mae, be the guinea pig rather than potentially reveal any secrets they are hiding at The Circle.
Ty
Ty is one of the founding members of The Circle. Ironically he's rarely seen by anyone as he believes what has been built at The Circle was not his intention and he is seeking to bring down Bailey and Stenton before things go any further.
Privacy
Mae signed up to reveal every moment of her life to anyone willing to watch her on social media. Ironically, her parents didn't anticipate the intrusion on their private lives that her 24/7 access would create. Ultimately, it caused them to not allow her to view stream their lives through her public access any further.
Transparency
Bailey, in the beginning of the film, calls for transparency with legislators and even says they should wear the 24/7 social media access cameras. Ironically, Bailey doesn't wear the cameras and his partner, Stenton, is nowhere to be found.
Test Subject
Mae was "chosen" by Bailey to be the first person to give full-access to their lives to the public through their social media. Ironically, she is also the one who eventually works with Ty in order to bring Bailey, Stenton, and The Circle down as she helps to expose all of the secrets the corporate executives have been withholding from the public.
