Horror
We see Mae convincing others that being able to always be found means that you'll never lose a friend. Unfortunately in her attempt to "find" Mercer she creates fear and panic for him which leads to his death. The imagery of her "lovely" presentation contrasts with the horror of her friend's death in the real world application of what she's talking about.
Searching
Mae is frantically searching for her parents as she's afraid something has happened to her dad who has Multiple Sclerosis. As she's scrolling through the various video monitors in her parents home so are the millions of followers on her social media. Thus when she finds her parents in their bedroom performing a private sex act the imagery reveals that through her willingess to share her life publicly she is infringing on the privacy of the ones she loves.
Annie
We watch as Annie and Mae have their first conversation in some time in a bathroom at The Circle. We see Annie is completely fried and the contrast of her magnetic personality from the beginning of the film to now reveals that her life and work have taken a steep turn for the worse in this imagery.
A Proven Menace
Mae introduces Soul Search, a new application that can find anyone in under 20 minutes. It begins with a search for a female criminal who locked her three children in a closet and went on holiday which resulted in her kids dying of starvation. The imagery reveals how quickly the technology works, as well as the shaming that carries forth from the people who catch her. The imagery creates a scary experience that while the criminal is being caught it causes one to feel slimy.
