Open Circulatory System: In it blood circulates through the body by blood vessels terminating in sinuses where it comes in contact with tissues. These sinuses transfer blood into another set of sinuses from which blood is pumped back to the heart. Closed circulatory system: In this system blood is confined to blood vessels only and is pumped through the body by the heart.
