Chapter 12, DNA - Assessment - 12.2 The Structure of DNA - Understand Key Concepts/Think Critically - Page 356: 12

Answer

DNA is a double helix, and it is made out of polynucleotides

Work Step by Step

DNA is made out of nucleotides, which are made out of a pentose, phosphate, and a nitrogenous base. Each strand is connected from the 5' on the phosphate and 3' on the pentose. The double helix in DNA is created from the hydrogen bonds between the nitrogenous bases from the two strands.
