Lysozyme is present in tears, saliva, mucus, and human breast milk. It is produced by specialized mucosal glands, mostly in the respiratory and digestive tracts. Perforin is targets an infected cell membrane and forms pores from inside the cell. It is produced by cytotoxic T cells. Granzyme is also produced by cytotoxic T cells and natural killer cells. It initiates the apoptosis (programmed cell death). Membrane attack complex (MAC) is a complex made up of proteins, it is formed on the surface of target cells and punch a hole through it's plasma membrane. It is formed by the complement system of the host.
