Swastika Night Irony

Swastika Night Irony

The religion of Hitler

The main dramatic paradox in the whole text is that Hitler convinced his followers that the only religion left in the world is Hitlerism which preaches Nazism. One of the preachers of Hitlerism is Friedrich Von Hess, who spreads the Word about Nazism throughout Germany. The reader finds it satirical that an individual can convince people to worship a fellow human being. In contrast, the Gospel of Hitlerism is full of hatred toward Jews and those who oppose the Nazi regime.

Women in the Nazi regime

Given equal opportunities, women are significant players in the world's economy. Besides taking care of children, women are productive economically, and they can compete favorably with many in all sectors. Paradoxically, during the time of Hitler, women were viewed as important only as sexual reproductive machines held somewhere to procreate to ensure the continuity of Hitlerism.

Herman’s Death

When Herman discovers that the Nazis are coming toward Alfred and his son, he runs to distract them from attacking Alfred. Alfred and his son at the time were reading a book about life before Hitler, which the Nazi soldiers prohibited. Unfortunately, the Nazis kill Herman to protect Alfred and his son. Satirically, even after realizing that Herman is dead, the Nazi soldiers kick his body to inflict more pain on the corpse.
