Super Pumped is a book by a journalist Mike Isaac, and it is a biographical recollection of events that led to the founding of the American public service company Uber. The main theme of the book is the theme of "rise and grind" culture.
The book tells the events that happened with the company over the course of a decade, from the initial idea by Garret Camp in 2009 through to its public popularization in 2019. It shows the workings within the circle of the company, the scandals, especially of sexual harassment and issues with customer privacy. And despite those, the company was still held in high regard within Silicon Valley. It concludes with the start of a slow decline in the market for the company.
The book was published in 2019, and the reactions to it were more on the positive side. A television limited series of the same name premiered in 2022.
