Students will be able to imagine Sula’s life outside the confines of the storyline and place Sula’s story into a contemporary medium

Structure:

Sula leaves Medallion for ten years between Parts One and Two of the novel. Tell students to write a travel blog from Sula’s perspective detailing her travels while she is away. Where could Sula have gone? What did she do? Whom did she meet? Tell students to choose at least three different places that Sula travels to, to write one or two paragraphs per location describing her travels, and to choose a few photos from Google...
