Confederate

Someone who supported the Confederate States of America during the American Civil War.

fuddle

state of confusion or drunkenness.

squaw

offensive slang term for a Native American woman or wife.

Superstition Mountains

A range of mountains in Arizona.

stork

A long-legged bird that is said to deliver new babies.

jailbird

A criminal who has been jailed more than once.

ford

to cross a shallow body of water with a vehicle.

shootout

decisive gun showdown.

indict

accuse of a serious crime.
