Severance Irony

Severance Irony

The paradox of Bob

Bob is a staunch Christian. Ironically, he kills anybody who contracts Shen Fever disease. One of the commandments of Christianity states that no one has the authority to kill a fellow human being, but Bob does the contrary. For instance, while Bob is with his fellow survivors in Chicago, Ashley contracts the disease, and he shoots and kills her immediately. Consequently, Bob is an ironic character because he maintains the position that God chooses him to kill those who contract the disease.

The decision to remain in New York

In 2011, Shen Fever disease infested New York rapidly, and many people decided to flee from the city to find safer grounds towards the west. Jonathan, Candace's boyfriend, is among the people who flee for safety. Ironically, Candace did the contrary because she decided to remain in New York and continue to work. Her fellow employees were among the people who fled New York, but Candace valued her work more than her life. Candice, at last, left the city after realizing she was the only person remaining.
