Objective:

Students will learn about and analyze the challenges immigrants face related to culture shock both from the video and the book.

Structure:

Begin this activity by defining culture shock. Then have a brief discussion about culture shock students in the class may have experienced (whether because they are immigrants themselves o have traveled to another country/culture). You can also open up the discussion to have students volunteer examples of culture shock that occur to them.
