Piers Plowman Lesson Plan

Relationship to Other Books

Students may not have read many works by English authors that are this old (such as Gawain and the Green Knight, The Canterbury Tales, etc.). The teacher may therefore find it useful to call upon their knowledge of poems by Edmund Spenser or William Shakespeare, or any other metrical poems that they've been taught (such as Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven").
