Percy Shelley: Poems Lesson Plan

Relationship to Other Books

Shelley is a major figure of the Romantic literary movement that lasted from the end of the 18th century to the 1850s. To gain a holistic view of his works, students should consider the works of other Romantics including Lord Byron, John Keats, Thomas Love Peacock, and Mary Shelley.

It would also be helpful to consider poets and writers whose work Shelley heavily influenced. This includes Robert Browning, Lord Tennyson, Henry David Thoreau, and W.B. Yeats.
