Do you agree with the two maxims mentioned by Mill at the beginning of this chapter? Can you think of any further maxims that should be added?
In all likelihood, most students will find little, if anything, to disagree with over here. The real fun, however, is in thinking about what they might add (or not add). For students who think that Mill’s maxims are just fine as they are, this should serve as a testament to the brilliance of his ideas.
