The Colonization of Africa

Objective:

Students will create a KWL and chose a method to research colonization in Rhodesia.

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.6

Structure:

To begin the activity, have students take a piece of paper and divide it into three columns. At the top of the first column, they should write K. On the second column, write W, and on the third, write L. Instruct students to work in pairs to fill in the first column with what they Know about colonization in Africa. In the second column, students should write 4-6 questions they have (or what they Want to know) about colonization in Africa.
