Freud
Dahl gives an ironic depiction of Sigmund Freud in this text, exaggerating his German accent and satirizing his ideas.
Eugenics
Dahl also presents eugenics in an ironic light. He shows how absurd the idea of eugenics is by suggesting that the trait of being a genius is genetic.
The purpose
For Oswald, the purpose of this text is to tell his readers about how he made his money. However, the text ironically digresses a lot and instead chronicles Oswald's sex life.
Bernard Shaw
Although it is well-known that the playwright Bernard Shaw was asexual, he is presented in this text as running naked down a street after a woman. This is therefore an ironic representation of the famous writer.
Yasmin
Oswald's philosophy of life is to have sex with as many women as possible. He has a relationship with one woman called Yasmin, however, she leaves him for somebody else, and Oswald is therefore alone at the end of the text.
