What is the significance of the title ‘Marley and Me’?

John Grogan's primary intention in writing this novel is to reflect on his entire life. Besides writing about his parents, wife, and children, the author has dramatically talked about his love for dogs. The title of this novel is significant because it shows a healthy relationship between people and dogs. It is no doubt that dogs are man's best friends. Well trained dogs are loyal and obedient.
