Lightlark Irony

Lightlark Irony

Forging relationships enemies

Isla knows that the rulers of other realm kingdoms are not trustworthy. Ironically, Isla disregards the warnings from her guardians and goes ahead to forge relationships with her adversaries. Isla specially forges a relationship with Grimshaw and Celeste, rulers who always look forward to her downfall.

The Centennial Event

The Centennial event is ironic because one ruler must die every time it is held. However, even after a ruler dies, the curse that horrifically harms the citizens remains. Therefore, the significance of the Centennial event is a big paradox because it does not achieve the intended objective.

The citizens of the islands

The citizens of the islands are the most paradoxical characters in the novel. These citizens, especially those in the Starling Kingdom, only live up to 25 years. Ironically, they hope that their ruler, who has lived past 100 years, will fight the curse that devastates them. The ruler is focused on being immortal rather than fighting for a generation that quickly multiplies to fill the kingdom.
