Raja Rao also wrote nonfiction, including a collection of essays called The Meaning of India, in which he tackles subjects such as religion, his meetings with world leaders, and metaphysics. He also wrote a biography of Mahatma Gandhi called The Great Indian Way: A Life of Mahatma Gandhi. Both of these works of nonfiction no doubt provide plenty of context surrounding Indian culture and history.
