Is the title Italian Journey emblematic?

The title Italian Journey besides being audacious it represents Goethe’s life revolution. Goethe visits Italy in the 17th century when the city of Rome is characterized by the old architectural edifices. The historical edifices are a manifestation of Goethe's channel of life. The chronological structures present are becoming older every day. The aging chronological edifices bring to the attention of Goethe that he is not immortal because he will grow older and eventually die.

Why is Goethe hiding his true identity and call himself Moller when he goes to adventure in Italy?

It comes a time in life when one resolves to go on vacation far away from home for reactivation before resuming to work. Goethe is fond of visiting new places to beat boredom.
